Outside my window, the trees are turning, but not into the pillars of light Mary Oliver remarks on in the autumnal ode, “In Blackwater Woods.” These trees are turning toward green, and I am watching them every day.
Where I am, the heart of Spring is coming out of the “plug ugly” stage that Parker Palmer remarks on in “Let Your Life Speak.” We here in the Pacific Northwest of the United States are still in the rainy season, but the rains are more punctuated with sun and days that stretch up into the 60’s Fahrenheit.
When you go out into the world, when you pause to look, really look, what is happening where you are? Blessings to you, loves. Blessings and springtime hope, hope that there are things to look forward to.
PS — It was so hard not to buy every pollinator-alluring plant I had my fingers on at the nursery yesterday, but I resisted. At least, I resisted as much as anyone could be expected to resist. Have a beautiful day, when next the sun rises where you are.
